Before you book, ask.
Four questions that tell you a lot about a carpet cleaner. A good business will answer them plainly.
- Which method, and how long to dry?Ask whether they use hot water extraction or a low-moisture method, and how long to stay off the carpet afterwards.
- What’s the total price?Ask how they price (per room, per square foot or per item), what counts as a room, and what costs extra, in writing before work starts.
- Are you certified and insured?Ask whether the technicians are IICRC certified and for proof of liability insurance. You can look a firm up on iicrc.org.
- What if a spot comes back?Ask what the satisfaction guarantee covers, for how long, and whether it’s in writing.
